Update
A copy of my thesis is now available from my cv page.
Today I successfully defended my thesis Compensating for Distance Compression in Virtual Audiovisual Environments, passing my viva voce with minor corrections! Once my corrections have been completed and submitted, I'll stick a PDF up here for anyone who might be interested. The past 4 years have been a whirlwind, as I've written about previously and I have learned so much. Thanks go to my academic advisors, Prof. Eamonn O'Neill & Dr. Michael Proulx who have mentored me through the years, teaching me lessons I can't even describe in words. Thanks also to Rob McHardy, my industrial advisor, who helped hone my software skills further from my BSc days into my EngD.
Thanks also to the myriad of people I have interacted with over the years; each of you has influenced my thinking in a variety of different ways. Its been one hell of a journey. Celebrating the end of my EngD over the coming days, I look forward to my career. Now that I have my license, I'm excied over future prospects and the projects I will get my teeth stuck into!
